Sony has nothing like Azure, what Sony has is a streaming service, that is FAR less sophisticated than the actual cloud computing that Azure does. Only a few companies in the world have what Azure does, and Sony is certainly not one of them.
Yeah, and my brothers 360 never had RROD so whats your point.
Um, that would be both companies. Oh how soon we forget.
Not like you can believe Sony on this, they still don't admit the YLOD was an issue, not to mention the PS2 disc read error. They made you guys pay to have those fixed.
:) Dirty dog? wow, I see I got to ya, struck a nerve, what was it the indie comment? ;)
Forza 5 uses the cloud at launch, Titan Fall will use it around launch, and I believe a few other games as well so, no lie. You people know nothing about the Xbox One, so why don't you just shut up and go wait for more indies
Generally Microsoft does not talk much about its Arcade and Indie library, they don't try to sell them as reason to buy the console like Sony does, so I suspect there will be a lot more than this at or around launch. Just look at XBL market now, tons of indies and arcade games that no one ever talks about.
Even if PS4 does have more at launch, if you have a XBO you can just play those indies on your phone or PC, indies are nothing to get too excited about, people are jus...
Well Julie had nothing to do with any of the decisions that were made before the Xbox One launch. At that time Don was still in charge, word is he was talking with Zynga long before he left Microsoft. I think he agreed to stay on with Microsoft until the launch of the console, meaning when he was making a lot of decisions about the launch of XBO, his head was not in the game, he was probably thinking more about his strategy for his new CEO position.
They didn't flip a switch and tun off always online, it took hundreds of man hours.
They still have not removed kinect, its functionality IS built in.
They are still saying this, because kinect in fact does not collect information, it has no place to store it, and we could detect the transmission of it. Where is the proof kinect is collecting anything?
They all say that about their consoles and XBO probably does after you add in MS superi...
@Majin um, no PS4 has more ram and a faster CPU/GPU. XBO has that and a multitude of cutting edge new features that were not on last gen consoles, some of these features don't exist anywhere on any other device. PS4 finally has the features Xbox 360 had 6 years ago.
What cloud service did XB360 have, the only one I can think of is Skydrive, and maybe account synchronization, those work fine.
What are you waiting for, are you afraid it will disable game play on the console? I don't get these people who say they have to wait to see what all the extra features in addition to gaming, do on xbo before buying one. But the console that is confirmed to be nothing more than a PS3.5, with only one game (Killzone)worth playing at launch, is a day one buy.
Forza has more realistic points than GT, what your saying is completely backwards. The level of customization and the way said customization effects the cars performance, the sounds, the physics, the cockpit view in ALL the cars, even the damage model, are all more realistic on Forza, yet you delusional Playstation fans continue to pretend the opposite is true. The last GT was garbage, a jumbled mess of a game, with still too many Nissans, GT is and has been dead for some time now.
How old are you? What are you doing here with these kids? You sound like a grownup.
Yeah good point, Sony makes gamers pay for design flaws, but its not necessary to wait with the Xbox, if something goes wrong MS will replace it for you in a couple weeks. Why wait months to buy, when worse case you'll have to wait a couple weeks for a new Xbox replacement.
Very good point, the price point of 399 is huge though, for the most part Sony's conference was a bit of a let down; they were blown away by MS, BUT that 399 price point will all but erase Microsoft's advantage.
Interesting to see how this plays out.
Just like Sony gave in and followed Microsoft in charging for online play, they will give in and start allowing publishers to charge for used games.
Sony is just not announcing it now, they know they will get tons of good press by saying this now, but they also know in the long run they will be shunned by the publishers if they don't fall in line.
The other possibility is they are referring only to games they publish, and like MS they are allowing 3rd par...
What is the big deal with 24 hour check in, why are people so upset about that, do you people not have internet at your homes all the time? Do you unplug your consoles from the net every night and pack them away in a box? The check is automatic, you don't have to do anything, if you are offline for a week, it just does it when you get back online, no big deal.
Halo truly is the king of shooters. It's funny how 360 supposedly has no games, yet this counsel is where all the excitement is. And how everyone said the 360 was out of steam years ago, yet it's the one STILL improving on graphics this late in the game. Oh and remember how everyone said the 360 was dead after PS3 launch? Oh my, how could so many be so wrong about so much...
Thats not true, you need very little banwidth to benefit from cloud enhanced graphics. The problem with the cloud is the need for internet in general, hard to make a game that runs partially in the cloud if everyone who buys it will not be connected, this is why at first MS made it mandatory.
